Vietnam visa for citizens of Vanuatu

Vanuatu passport holders are required to apply for a valid visa to enter Vietnam with tourism and business purposes.

• Free Visa will be applied for Vanuatu passport holders if they travel to Phu Quoc island and stay in the island only – Vietnam Visa will be exempted for 30 days of staying . A visa is required if traveling outside the island. (Please check instruction how to get free Vietnam Visa to Phu Quoc island).

To visit Vietnam, travelers with Vanuatu passports should meet the entry requirements:

– Vanuatu passport holders must have a valid passport and a visa (or pre-approval for a visa on arrival) to enter Vietnam.

– Your passport must be valid for six months beyond your planned stay, and it must have at least 2 blanks pages, 1 blank page for the Vietnam visa and 1 page for the entry and exit immigration stamp.

– If you arrive in Vietnam without an appropriate visa (which could be an e-visa) or pre-approval for a visa on arrival, you will be denied entry.

Vietnam Electronic Visa (Vietnam e-Visa) is available for citizens of Vanuatu. Vietnam e-visa is available for tourist and business purpose. It is accepted for entry Vietnam at all checkpoints including airports, seaports and land-crossing borders. However, it is just valid for 30 days with single entry only. Those are requiring for multiple entries or staying longer than 30 days may apply for Vietnam visa on arrival or apply the visa directly at the consulate of Vietnam in Hong Kong instead.

Unlike visa on arrival in some countries in the world, in order to apply for “Visa On Arrival” in Vietnam, you must have the visa approval letter which issued by Vietnam Immigration Department. This Visa approval letter allows you to pick up your visa on arrival at the international airports of Vietnam.

Apply for the Vietnam visa at the consulate of Vietnam in Hong Kong requires applicants to submit their visa application forms and documents directly to the consulate.
